Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4/3/2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use ShortGo (the “Service”), including the admin panel and public short links.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address and authentication data required to access the admin panel.
- Link data: slugs, destination URLs, titles, tags, group assignments, activation status, and expiration settings.
- Click analytics: when a short link is opened we may record technical details such as IP address (or a proxy-provided client IP), user agent, referrer, device type, OS, browser, accept-language, campaign parameters (UTM), and coarse location (country/city) when available via your hosting provider.
How we use information
- To operate the Service (create links, redirect requests, show analytics).
- To prevent abuse, detect fraud, and protect the security of the Service.
- To improve performance and reliability (e.g., debugging and monitoring).
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, database, monitoring) to operate the Service, or when required by law.
Retention
We retain link and analytics data for as long as needed to provide the Service. Retention periods may vary by plan and configuration. You can deactivate links or request deletion depending on your deployment policy.
Your choices
If you self-host the Service, you control your data and retention settings. If you use a hosted deployment, you can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support.
